Founded by Erica, a Hair Addition Specialist with over 22 years of experience, Dark Roots was created to bridge the gap between beauty, wellness, and scalp health. Inspired by generations of strong women in the beauty industry and driven by a passion for helping others feel confident again, Erica built Dark Roots to be a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their hair journey.

Our approach combines advanced scalp wellness services, trichology-based insight, and customized hair solutions to address both the emotional and physical side of hair loss. From our signature Japanese Head Spa experiences and Internal Reset Analysis to hair extensions, toppers, wigs, and restorative scalp therapies, every service is designed with intention and care.

We understand that no two journeys are the same. Some clients are looking to restore scalp health and encourage healthier hair growth, while others are seeking immediate confidence through additional hair solutions.   • Erica, the vibrant owner of Dark Roots, is a dedicated mother of five whose life and career are rooted in a passion for helping others. Raised by strong, entrepreneurial women, she was deeply influenced by her mother, a skilled hair addition specialist who built her own business while raising a family and showed Erica the life-changing impact of her work. From a young age, Erica spent hours in her mother’s salon, watching women transform before her eyes. Her grandmother’s battle with cancer and hair loss further shaped her purpose, igniting a desire to help women feel whole, confident, and seen. Guided by the belief that life is made up of meaningful “puzzle pieces,” Erica has turned every experience into fuel for a purpose-driven path .

    With over 22 years of experience as a Hair Addition Specialist, Erica is known for her compassion, honesty, and personalized care. Inspired by her mother’s artistry, her desire to do more led her into the medical field, deepening her understanding and allowing her to support women with hair loss on a more advanced level. Today, she is dedicated to helping women—whether facing genetic, medical, or cancer-related hair loss—regain their strength, beauty, and confidence, continuing the legacy of the women who inspired her.

  • Bobbi Russell's passion extends beyond hair loss solutions to embrace holistic well-being for women. She is a certified clinical trichologist and an expert in non-surgical hair loss solutions. To ensure her clients receive the best possible care, Bobbi collaborates closely with a doctor for optimal results and has made significant industry strides over her 40-year career. Additionally, Bobbi is a Nationally Certified "Master Hair Replacement & Additions Specialist."

    As a National Educator and Platform Artist for major hair replacement manufacturers since 2005, she has influenced product development. Beyond her professional work, she incorporates natural healing practices, such as meditation and sound healing, to address the emotional aspects of wellbeing.

    She also hosts retreats focused on self-care and personal growth, offering activities like yoga and mindfulness while fostering a supportive community. Bobbi's holistic approach reflects her commitment to helping women find self-love and acceptance, further emphasized by her work as an educator and speaker in the industry.

  • Courtney finds beauty in everything and believes that humor helps maintain a positive outlook amid life's challenges. Growing up as a triplet instilled in her the values of sharing and selflessness. She has a passion for helping others, rescuing animals, and being a friend to everyone she encounters. Her dream is to explore the world and learn from diverse cultures.

    Courtney deeply cherishes her job, where she has the privilege of helping women feel beautiful and empowered, just as they are. She believes that natural beauty holds immense power, and it means a great deal to her to help someone rediscover it when they may have forgotten. She's always felt the need to make a positive impact in the world, whether by boosting women's confidence or rescuing animals in her spare time.

  • Meet Zoe, a dynamic professional who's been making her mark in the hair industry since 2023. Starting as a front desk coordinator and salon assistant, she's now broadening her horizons with hair additions at our salon. Not only is Zoe a pro at scalp massages and blowouts, but she's also driven to excel in all aspects of her field.

    When she's not transforming tresses, Zoe loves beach outings, cars, and spending time with loved ones. And for a fun fact - she can ride a unicycle!

    Zoe is inspired by the opportunity to make clients' hair dreams come true, and she thrives on the creativity her job allows. She's kind-hearted, gentle, and cherishes the camaraderie of our team.
